Sorry Tom, the actual expression is not downunder, but upover. The original
globe was designed upside down accidently! Maps have carried this error thru.
Just for info, we would have enough problems getting the 'UPOVER' people
to-gether.
We have quite a few ami users in Sydney, a couple in Canberra (about 3 hrs drive
from Sydney) Some in Perth (about 2-3 days drive), in Adelaide (about 12 hrs drive)
and of course our friend in New Zealand (Loved the Fish doco btw) and you will
find it difficult driving to New Zealand (about 4 hours flying).

| Stan is right about the world being designed/mapped upside down...
How else do you explain that NZ is the first country in the world
to see a new day and is al least 17 hours ahead of our northern
hemisphere counterparts...;^)
Very sorry - but I will be unable to attend (in body - I'll be there
in spirit-Preferably a Glass of Jack Daniel's Finest...;^)
Cheers

Adelaide, I recently shifted back to Melbourne.
I will (regrettably) have to have someone submit my apologies for not
attending :-} (Steve??).

| Well folks, We've had a good response. Currently there are 12 signed up
to go. I made the reservation. They know us as being the AMIGA group
from DEC with reservation made by Tom Moore. Any of those words should
get you in. They asked us to come at 11:45 which is when the buffet
opens.
Please let me know if others are coming so I can update the head count
Thursday morning at 10:00. Ed, I don't have 6 names from NKS yet.
Please let me know if NKS is going to have a full contingent.
By the way - There are several people that have conflicts and it looks
like a good idea to do this every so often.
Thanks for the response!

make that 23 (not counting yourself). I thought I sent you mail,
but things have been "interesting" around here lately, so maybe
I only got as far as planning to send you mail :-)
They do have big rooms in the back of the RM, but they also seem
to have lots of going away parties, so it is a very good idea to
get there early.
Tom, you may have started a new marketing trick for selling Amigas.
Think of the last time you went into a fancy restaurant and heard
someone talking about how wonderful the Amiga was. Now imagine
being trapp.., er make that seated, next to over 20 Amiga fans :)

< So, how was lunch?
I thought you'd never ask. They had all my favorites and it was all you
could eat. With the rainy weather, we almost had the place to
ourselves. At one point I had everyone introduce themselves. Nobody
volenteered to to arange the next one. It's not something I would want
to do every week or every month. If somebody else doesn't schedule one,
I guess I will. This type of lunch social suits my needs. If someone
else has an idea about an evening or weekend event, please set it up.
I thought we had a great turnout. It seems to me that this notes file
is like our club meeting and this lunch was just a social.
Thanks to everyone that showed up!
