3313.0. "C-Ltd Bites the dust??? You Decide!" by NSSG::SULLIVAN (Steven E. Sullivan) Tue Jan 09 1990 18:35

    It seems to have happened... C-Ltd appears to have gone out of
business! And I was about to upgrade my A500 and A1000 to a Kronos!

    Their main phone has been disconnected and their support and BBS
numbers give a constant busy. Their FAX number has an answering
machine with a message that says their FAX is broken and to please
try again in a few days. Hummmmm! Some sense of humor!

    What *really* bothers me about this is C-Ltd has been getting a
lot more exposure and recognition lately. They have been carried in
numerous mail order ad's where they rarely were in the past. Their
HandyScan has gotten excellent reviews as have their HP laserjet
fonts and utilities. In otherwords, it seems like they have gone out
of business just when they were coming back from obscurity!

    Argh! This is very frustrating!

The C-Ltd phone numbers are:

             Sales:       (316) 267-0202
	     Support:	  (316) 267-3807
             FAX:         (316) 267-0111
             BBS:         (316) 267-1222
             CIS: C Ltd Tech Support in the Amiga Forum.
             U.S. Mail:   C Ltd. | 723 E. Skinner | Wichita, KS | 67211

    I hope this is just temporary and they can pull it out. I have
hated them, but they do stuff that just noone else does worth a damn
and they were getting product to market. Their new products were
looking good too!

	Thanks,

3313.1I've heard THIS before...LEDS::ACCIARDITue Jan 09 1990 22:5311

    Aw, C Ltd. goes out of business more than Blake and Alexis discover yet
    another offspring.

    They were going out of business as CardCo way back in my C-64 days. Ed
    Lippert will just reorganize and jump back into the fray again.
    (Personally, I think he may not be such a good businessman).

    Any products of his worth salvaging will be picked up by someone else.

3313.2Missed it by >< that much...HPSTEK::SENNAWed Jan 10 1990 10:2111
    Unbelievable! Thats all I can say!!!

    Just after christmas when I called billions of times just to get
    a recording at first that said "Sorry, but we're closed for
    inventory". I thought it was strange that Ed made a commitment
    when they were going to be shut down. But I finally came to light
    this week when the phone was disconnected! I just thank the man
    upstairs I hadn't made any commitments with them ($$$) and I have
    someone else to deal with !!! Scary!

                                        Live and Learn!
