3250.0. "MRbackup" by GIDDAY::LAWSON () Thu Dec 21 1989 20:17

I just uploaded MRbackup 3.3E from Tape::.

I dont seem to be able to get it to work, even though I believe that I
    have done the right things.

Whenever I try to invoke the program, I get a "failed to open main
window" or something like that. I do see a new window open momentarily.

I am running an interlaced display and the new window appears to be
    non-interlaced.

    Any suggestions?

    Sorry Mike,

Morerows is in my startupII but is commented out. However, I'll start
taking things out....Dmouse, Conman etc and see what happens.

    Cheers,

Maybe this was an Isolated incident, but it's worth reporting.

MRBackup 3.3(E) Dutifully backed up everything to floppy. Slow but it seemed
to do the job. Came the time when I Lunched my hard disk and I wanted to
    restore.

Apart from the stupid things I did, like asking MRB to backup my IFF
files, I found that it couldn't even get text files right....My "S"
directory got garbaged, as did most of the sub-directories in my "Data"
directory. In fact, some went missing permanently.

There were only two "priceless" directories on the whole disk and...you
    guessed 'em.

Maybe I did something else wrong, but I'm not going to give it another
    chance.

I now use quarterback, and apart from it's reliability, it is heaps
    faster.
