    I have just uploaded the file AMIBCKR.LZH to NORSE""::AMIGA:[Upload].
    This contains the program BCKR which stands for BCK Restore.  It will 
    enable you to restore a MS-DOS backup created with Tom Pfau's MS-DOS 
    backup utility BCK.  Now we are no longer limited by the 720K max 
    MS-DOS floppy size under CrossDos or PcCopy.
    
    Tom Pfau's BCK is intended for Digital Equipment Employes use only and 
    is not to be given to anyone outside the corporation.  As such I must 
    place the same restricion on BCKR.
    
    BCKR will read the designated backup file from any valid Amiga DOS 
    device and restore it to the current Amiga DOS device and directory.  
    It will create any sub directories needed and set default into it 
    restoring files as it goes.  If you have CrossDos the backup file can 
    be restored directly from the floppy.  If not you will need to copy the 
    backup files to an Amiga Disk with PcCopy or another MS-DOS file 
    utility.
    
    I did not intend this to be used as a backup tool but as a facility for 
    transferring files between MS-DOS and Amiga DOS. As such I read but do 
    nothing with the checksum, date/time stamp and protection bits.  This 
    with a much needed source code rewrite may be done in the next version.  
    In the mean time I am busy writing another utility called BCKB which 
    will write a BCK compatible backup file from Amiga DOS.
