3145.0. "Thanks for the memory..." by WILARD::BARRETT (Wait'll they get a load of me) Wed Nov 22 1989 23:43
Now that I see memory board prices below $400 (for the typical 8
meg board populated at 2 meg), I begin to believe I can afford the
upgrade. My questions are this:
1) Out of the several manufacturers of this type of board, are there
any that are better or worse?
2) Those that purchase from mail order houses, could you tell me
if you've had any problems. I am experience with CMO, but not the
others (creative computing, brinwell, MCS, etc). I want to make
sure I don't fall into the trap of lowest price from a poor dealer.
Thanks, Keith

| I've scanned the USENET postings and came across several concerning
problems when using certain memory boards on 2000's with Brideboards.
I myself have the XT board and would still like to hear what memory
boards are good and bad.
Thanks, Keith
