i was wondering if the amiga 1000 is compatible with ms-dos

I hope this answers your question....ms-dos is an operating system
and the amiga 1000 is combuter! If you're asking whether or not
ms-dos will run on the 1000 by itself, the answer is no. You can
however run ms-dos on the 2000 if you have a bridge card.There
was a company (compusave) that has an adapter that you can put
the bridge card into and connect to your 1000. It costs about
500 bucks for it not including the bridge card and has many
problems. So much so that they discontinued taking orders.

Transformer, a software product from Commodore will turn your A1000 into a MS-DOS PC. It requires a 5 1/4 drive to use and is becomming very rare. Randy | |||||
