I work in the RDG in Colorado Spring and often dial in to our system from home using SMOKEY (vt200 emulator). I have a need for "local copy" or "print screen" capabilities for hardcopy of session. I tried the "HARDCOPY" program from FF. It works great from the CLI but of course does not work with the v200 emulator. Does anyone have a solution to this problem? Thanks in advance for any response! Jerry J. RDG

Select ASCII Capture and instead of giving it a file name to capture to, give it PRT: Dick

I use GRABBIT. I set up printer preferences that give me a quick graphics dump of the screen. I set it up for a white background with black text. The screen dump is pretty quick that way.

Thanks for the info!!!I tried directing ascii capture to the PRT:. It works fine except that it seems to have to fill a buffer before it gets to the printer. Therefore a delay of about 1 1/2 pages before it dumps to the printer. To dump the half full buffer I turned "ascii capture" off and it finishes printing to the PRT:.There is probably a way around this but I have not found it. Any ideas? Thanks again. Jerry |
