Does anyone out there have a Gen One genlock. I purchased one and need some help. I set it up in accordance with the directions but I still get flutter on the output tape. I am trying to use it to add titling to wedding videos. It seems that my clients are very happy with the final tape but I am not. Do you have to use Hi-Res to do your titling in order to stop the flutter or can you use medium res?

You probably have to be in interlace mode. Hi-Res will do it. For the other graphics modes you need to run a program called SETLACE. That turns interlace on but leaves the resolution unchanged. This will give you cleaner recordings. SETLACE is in the public domain and is probably available somewhere here on the network. Randy |
