I now have a CMI Processor accellerator (14.2 Mhz 68000 + 10Mhz 68881 )
in my A500 (thanks John !!) and being a glutton for speed (within a
budget) I have been thinking about replacing the (16Mhz) 68000 with a
68010 BUT I can't find such a beast in any catalogue anywhere ! 8Mhz
and 10Mhz are available but no 16Mhz.
All this so far is pure speculation, I don't even know if it'll
get off the ground, but for sure it won't if I can't find a suitable
68010. Does anyone know if it exists ? Partnumber will probably
be MC68010P16 or MC68010C16. What do you think the chances are of
trying a 10Mhz '010 at 14Mhz and it running ??

I had asked the same question of CMI a while back. They basically said
that only one of every three or four 10 MHz parts would work at 14.4
MHz.
If you could find a vendor who would be willing to sell you a
half-dozen parts, maybe you could screen them and return the slow
parts?
