Yesterday I got the Lattice C V5.04 update in the mail. This was an automatic update (I didn't call them and ask for it or send in any bug reports), so everyone should be getting it. It was a one floppy update. If you have Lattice installed on your hard drive, you just boot normally, then stick their floppy in df0: and execute a command script. The update script didn't take as long as a half hour situation comedy on TV (as you can guess, I didn't stick around to watch it grind away). The documentation seemed to imply that there really were no new features, but tons of bugs were supposedly fixed.

3047.1 | Update from what? | JGO::CHAPMAN | Thu Oct 26 1989 04:46 | 9
Got mine yesterday, but didn't have a chance to read the read.me yet. Does this update incorporate earlier changes made in 5.0.2, 5.0.3 or not. I am still on 5.0 and this is the first upgrade i've been sent. Thanks Colin
3047.2 | from 5.02 | SAUTER::SAUTER | John Sauter | Thu Oct 26 1989 09:17 | 6 |
The instructions that came with it said that you must have already installed 5.02. Interestingly, the listing file header says 5.03.99. I guess they missed the last update on that. John Sauter |
