Well, my guess would be that your node database is old. But, since
I can't take a look at it then you'll have to check for yourself. The
text name for
node 2.9 contains the date that your database was considered valid.
You sould probably ask your Sys. Mgr. to update your database or
if you have privs then you could ask anchor for the addresses that
you need. I know for a fact that TRIX moved network areas about 4 or
5 months ago.
$ mcr ncp
NCP>tell wpomm2 sho node 2.9
%NCP-F-CONNEC, unable to connect to listener
-SYSTEM-F-INVLOGIN, login information invalid at remote node
NCP>exit

| I assume that since you spelled the topic title correct, you didn't
try to contact "FRAISE2::" since that really would be quite impossible.
;-)
The DECnet address of FRAIS2:: is currently 49.600 or 50776:: in
decimal notation, if you should be unable to get a recent list of all
EasyNet nodes.

| Hi,
<CB> is right.
Walter, check if you have a 'up-to-date' node-database.
($ mc NCP sho node 2.9) If not, ask your system-manager to setup
a proper environment (NETUPDATEV2).
BTW, welcome to all our new colleagues, noters and of course AMIGA's
and AMIGO's.
FRAIS2:: is located in Central-Germany (near Frankfurt/Main)
I often saw a lot of connections to the notes-object, and i'm glad
that so many people use the service of usenet-postings via VAXnotes.
So, i know that the hard work to setup VNEWS and USENOTES was not
'for the cat' as we say in German.
But it comes better: I'm working to replace FRAIS2's hardware (a
8200) against a stronger machine a some (!) more disks.
Enjoy,
Ralf
