| As much as I hate to say it, I think you would violate your license
agreement (with Commodore) by distributing workbench components. I
know you mean well, but their lawyers will hang you (and maybe DEC)
just the same...

Yes, I think there was some flap about just this sort of thing several
years ago. The solution for those who don't wish to pay C= for the
license to put WB on their distribution disks, is to provide a plug-n-chug
EXECUTE script file that builds a workbench disk from the user's
original disk.
I think it's a nice idea, though and I hope you can work something out.

Hmm .. you might be right, although with few exceptions nearly all the
files are PD or shareware. A couple of the libraries and handlers are
the standard stuff, but all the C components are ARP. I'll pull the CBM
stuff and replace with a batch file for copying them from the WB disk.

2967.5 | i can help too | FRAIS2::ZIMMERMANN | NCP> DEF MOD WORK DEST NL: | Tue Oct 10 1989 14:41 | 12 |
| I have also a 'starter disk'. It is not a WB but there are some
utilities which are NECESSARY for a good start. (executeable files
of ZOO, ARC, ARPINSTAL, VT200 and some other)
Then, i often copy my archive disks full of .ARC and .ZOO files
and the new Amiga/o is able to build her/his own environment.
If someone needs help mail me.
cheers
Ralf
