A few months back I installed the new Super (fatter?) Agnus on my
1 meg system. After doing this Dpaint III refused to allow ANIM
functions. When this happened I called EA and they confirmed the bug.
Dpaint checks Fast mem and if it = 0 it assume a 512k system and
tries to conserve memory by loading in swap mode and disabling
functions like ANIM.
To my surprise I recieved a letter from EA this week announcing
a new rev of DPAINT III that resolves the Super Agnus problem
AND improves memory management. ( might help with those HI-RES
screens).
The procedure for obtaining the new Rev is to return all three
original DPAINT III Diskettes along with a letter stating the nature of
the problems you encountered.
Before shipping off your diskettes I would verify that they will replace
them by calling EA's customer service line at (415)-572-2787. They may
only be shipping for reported problems.
