| I don't know the EGA specifics, but I believe the Amiga is usable
with most analog RGB monitors. Companies like Redmond Cable
either carry, or will custom make any cable you could imagine.
Their number is listed in many computer magazines (Amiga World, etc)
and I ordered a Mitsubishi Diamondscan/Amiga cable last year.
Monitors are discussed all over the conference, and you have a lot
of options. Mitsubishi, Sony, Zenith, NEC, etc, etc... I'm real
happy with the Diamondscan. I went with the multi-synch for future
compatability.

DO NOT buy an EGA monitor for the Amiga. EGA is still a TTL (ie;
non-analog) display with incorrect horizontal and vertical scan rates.
Any VGA monitor should work with the Amiga FlickerFixer (which brings
the Amiga RGB up to 31.5 KHz), but it still won't work with the
standard Amiga video signal of 15.75 KHz horizontal scan and 60 Hz
vertical refresh.
A multisync typ monitor WILL work, and will in fact be required for the
new DENISE display chip 640 x 480 non-interlaced mode. Before you buy
ANY multisync monitor, make certain that the monitor works with an
interlaced signal. Many multisyncs will not align the alternate fields
properly. Don't take a salesman's word that a multisync will work;
call the manufacturer to be sure.
