	WJG::AMIGA:

		CACHECAR.ARC	Dave Haynie's cache card program to enable/
				disable 68020/030 cache for expansion cards.
				Works with SetCPU V1.5 and includes source
				to let you see how to talk to SetCPU's
				MMU tables!

		HOPALONG.ARC	Something dervied from a Scientific American
				"Computer Recreations" column...

    I'll put this here to save on note space.

    I downloaded the following from Compuserve a few weeks ago. If they
    are already on the net just ignore this. I will send them to
    Norse""::Amiga:[Upload]

    LoadIFF.arc A IFF.Library written and released into the Public
                    domain by Christian A. Weber this is version 16.1
                    If you need instant IFF routines for C or Basic
                    download this. So far it works well with HiSoft Basic
                    but I get an exception if the Intuition.library is
                    opened and you do the OpenIff() and NewOpenIFF(). I do
                    not know if AmigaBASIC suffers the same.

    Imagee.ZOO Another Icon editor that also outputs Bob's and
                    Sprite's in Assem, C, and AmigaBASIC file formats.
                    I havent done more than unpackit to see if it runs
                    Looks useful. This is Shareware from Australia.

    Now I Downloaded this using Compuserve B protocol onto my Rainbow and
    then Uploaded it to the VAX using Poly Com at the office. So if their
    is a problem let me know and I will UUencode it on my Amiga and
    re-upload it that way.

2735.2Another great shareware game...ATLV5::MCDONALD_JSurly to bed, surly to rise...Fri Sep 08 1989 23:0730
I just uploaded BattleForce05.zoo to WJG::AMIGA and to NORSE::AMIGA:[UPLOAD].
It's a battle/strategy game based on the BattleMech Role-Playing game.  I think
it's quite excellent.

Basically, you are in control of a BattleMech... a huge mechanized tank/robot.
Your Mech can have cannons, lasers, rockets, etc. You're placed on a map
divided into hexagonal grids, and you have to battle it out with the other
team's BattleMechc(s). You can play against an opponent or against the
computer. The interface is quite professionally done.

The game was written by Ralph Reed, a local down here. The zoo file I uploaded
is, I'm told, a freely distributable demo version. If you send Ralph the
Shareware fee, he'll send you the full-blown version and updates as they come
out. I haven't got the full-blown version yet, (I'm going to, though) but
I'm told that it's a full-blown role-playing game. You start by building your
Mech in a factory, and you gain skill and money as you win battles. You get
sent on combat missions by the ruling powers, and you can choose to fight for
honor and money in the Arena.

The file's quite large (400 blocks), but worth downloading. If you want more
BattleForce information or wish to talk with Ralph Reed himself, you can
contact him at the Hobbit Hole BBS: (904) 243-6219. 300+ meg of Amiga-only
BBS fodder, with an entire section dedicated to BattleForce. The game seems to
have quite a following.

					Enjoy,
					John

P.S. I tried to send mail to IGETIT::EllisM, but the node was down.
