A friend has sent me some NEC memory chips to check out (they we're flagged flakey on another system & he's looking for a second opinion). I was curious if anyone can tell me the speed of these chips NEC D41256D. I can guess that the 'D' is the speed identifier. mark

What I found is that NEC p/n's are of the form:
UPD41256X-YY
where X-packaging (DIP, PLCC, ZIP, etc)
and YY is the speed (12 - 120ns
15 - 150ns
20 - 200ns)
So from your P/n I can't tell, but look closer to see if any
of the above information helps.

Thanx, yes there was a very small p/n at the bottom which ended in either 02 or 20, so they are probably 200ns. mark | |||||
