See how much you appreciate this one (-:
Reorganize your problem solution.
Isn't there ANY way you can change the logic to 25 columns
and 125 rows or consolidate some of the columns ? I know its "NICE"
to have columns that add vertically, its also "NICE" to have lots of
detail, but there comes a point....... , etc.

2647.2 | sure, there ARE workarounds | HPSCAD::GATULIS | Frank Gatulis | Fri Jun 16 1989 22:09 | 15 |

Re: -1
Sure Reg ... I could change the logic exactly as youy suggest. Point
is that it wouldn't have the asthetics of a "real" spreadsheet that
an accountant would produce. This is a financial application.
I expect (or expected, as the case may be) to be able to do at least
132 columns and then be able to rotate the printout just like I can do
on my VT240. Even the PC has a utility called "sideways" that can
do this! Maybe I'll get ambitious and finally write my first Amiga
program to do this.

Frank, someone may have beaten you to it...
MicroSystemsSoftware, makers of the Analyze! spreadsheet, created a
'sideways' program that is bundled with the Works! Platinum edition.
You need to find out two things...
1. Is Sideways! available as a standalone program, and
2. Can it print a MaxiPlan file? I suspect so, since the ads
state that it will print any ASCII file rotated @ 90 degrees.
Hope this helps...

know the name of it, check out the Amiga stores.

| Sideways printing is one of the deluxe paint print options. I tried reading
my printer manual looking for an escape sequence that might help
- no luck. also havent seen landscape/sideways printing as a feature
of any WP package...I'd be interested if anyone knows of any package
that can handle it
what about the Fish disks? any PD utility out there?

Take a look at FOSTER::DUA1:[PILEEKI.AMIGA]FLIPTEXT.ARC
I downloaded this pd software sometime ago and if I remember
correctly it actually works!

2647.8 | Works but I want better | HPSCAD::GATULIS | Frank Gatulis | Wed Jun 21 1989 21:45 | 10 |
| re .7
I downloaded FLIPTEXT.ARC It does work but not quite what I want.
It doesn't handle underline, bold, italics. Nor can I seem to get
good quality print. Print quality (density) is poor. I'll keep
looking. Think i'll hit the memory location and see if I can test
drive sideways or something.
