Hi there folks...well back from the honeymoon and anxious to get back into the land of the Amiga. Got a couple of questions which I hope someone can help me with. I have been toying with the idea of doing a little Desktop publishing for several community services and social clubs which I am active in. I have seen advertisments/reviews for many DTP packages and have made up a short list of 3 possibles to purchase. o Professional page from gold disk o Pagestream from Software Logik o City Desk by Microsearch I'd like to hear from folk out there who have any of these packages and could list a few of the pro's and cons... I will shortly be purchasing a Panasonic P4450 laser printer - provided it is post-script compatible (checking this out at the moment) and plan to do quite a range of DTP from programs for the local amateur theatre to newsletters for my Paintball social club... as always - any and all input welcome and appreciated... cheers Phil

I use Professional Page quite a bit and am very happy with it. Although it will work in 640x200, it works best in 640x400, so you will have to put up with a lot of screen flicker. Flicker Fixer or a long persistance monitor are recommended. The program needs at least 1 meg. Dot matrix output is very poor. Best used for Postscript output only. Randy |
