The "e" key on my A500 has started transmitting an escape sequence of some kind. I noticed it in JRCOMM and in ED, but not at the CLI or in AZCOMM. Does anyone have any ideas about this? Of course I am hoping for a solution as elegant as John Sauter's "unplug and plug the keyboard cable" bug fix, but any hints or trouble shooting strategy will do. Since the 500 doesn't have a keyboard cable, I couldn't try that one. ;-) This just started this morning, so I can still joke about it... Dave

Not quite right ? The A500 does have a cable but it's in side the case. The system is made up of two boards :- a) the Processor board b) the keyboard board which connect to the system board via a red 6-pin connector I found this out by taking my AMI apart and voiding the warrenty. Hope this helps Steve G | |||||

R: .1. I stand corrcted. Thr is a cabl. Howvr, I am glad to say that my ky startd working again... ;^} Seriously folks, it seems to have fixed itself. If there is a next time, I'll have another option with the keyboard cable, but this time wasting disk space on BOMBE:: seems to have worked just fine. Yay! |
