2598.0. "Dpaint3 brush to sprite or object conversion prg?" by SHARE::DOYLE () Thu May 25 1989 13:39

    Does anyone know where I could get a brush to object conversion
    program?
    I'd like to convert some of the brushes made with dpaint III to
    sprites, and bob's for use in Amiga Basic.
    					      Thanx

2598.2Hi!!GUCCI::HERBFri May 26 1989 20:386
    There is a program that does what you want in "amiga tricks and
    tips" book. I have already typed the program in so I will try
    to upload it if you want.

    re: .2
    Programs published in books are generally copyrighted along with the
    text. Unless there is a statement authorizing distribution of that
    code, uploading it would be a copyright violation.

    You should buy the book if you want to use the program. The publisher
    may also offer a companion disk if you don't feel like typing the code
    in for yourself.

    Amicus disks are listed each month in the back of Amazing Computing,
    just before the Fish disk list. There're only about 30 different
    Amicus disks available.

    re .7

    	With DPaint3 you can create some of the smoothest animation
    transitions I've ever seen.
    	This is great for...let's say rotating an object or trying to
    get a first person perspective of an oncoming object.
    	Very useful for game sprites, and bobs.
