I am beta testing V1.5 of SETCPU. There are numerous improvements over V1.4 including .. ready Amiga 2000 users ... no more drive clicking! The other slick feature is the ability to load Kickstart V1.3 from DF0: or DF1: and then pop it into the MMU. Not sure if the NoClick feature works on the A500, but don't see why it shouldn't. This is probably the last gamma version, so it should be available RSN. Paul

I did a small simulation a few years ago, I generated random lottery numbers and compared them to the winning numbers. I calculated ALL winning combinations and added them up. I let this run overnight, printing winners, and the next day I had "bought" $160,000 worth of tickets and "won" a gran total of $20,000. So unless you hit the nail on the head with ONE blow, it isn't worth it, worse still the prizes are split to more people when the jackpots get bigger, so the winners get less. So if you MUST buy lottery tickets, just buy ONE, and hope. Jean PS I won a TV this way, I entered ONE ticket and it came in. | |||||

re .4: lottery... Worse than that - even if you win, they only pay you an annuity on the money you win and not the actual money. So if you win $1M, they pay you over twenty years which happens to be about 5% a year and hey that's what you can get at a bank as interest. Guess who gets the principal at the end? Mitch |
