| The Amiga 2000 can be PC-compatible. There is an option you can get
for it which provides PC compatibility. That option is not available
for the A500, as far as I know.
I use my Amiga to do work from home, with a modem.

| The A500 can be expanded to except the"Bridge Board", wich is what
you need on both the A500-A2000 to run I.B.M. software.
In the A2000 you have 5(?) dedicated I.B.M. slots, one of wich
you use for the Bridge Board.
On the A500, you can buy expansion chassis,(One I bought called
the "Subsystem 500")that you hook to the bus on the lleft side of
the A500.
These contain the extra slots you need.

| You can also use Transformer V1.2 on the 500 and the 2000. It allows
you to run quite a few IBM programs such as Wordstar, ProComm, DBIII,
and other non-graphics programs (those three I have tested).

| If you want proces for the Amiga in the UK. The best magazines to
get are AMIGA USER INTERNATIONAL, STAMIGA FORMAT, and Amiga COMPUTING
WORLD.
You can get an AT bridge board for the A2000, which is obviously
more expensive than the XT version. I've never seen the A500 expansion
chasis for sale in the UK.
If you want any more info that you can't gleen from the conference
(It's all in here somewhere). Mail me (MARTIN ELLIS @OLO), and I'll
do my best to answer your questions.
