2390.0. "For the XCAD users" by HPSTEK::DAVIS () Wed Mar 22 1989 16:28
I have just received a copy of XCAD Utilities from Harry Evangelou,
the XCAD technical support person. He used to work for Haitex, who
used to sell XCAD. None of this is terribly relevant to this story
anyway.
What is relevant is that on the XCAD utilities are several *very*
useful things. Most useful for all users of XCAD is the four different
screen menus that take a lot of the drudgery out of entering XCAD
commands. For those of you who have used XCAD, you'll remember that to
draw any thing requires much movement of the cursor. These menus
reduce that.
Also included is something called "morerows", and "more", I think,
that allow you to add more rows and columns to your display. The
screen menus are supposed to ce cunningly built to fit outside the
drawing window when using the maximum of 716 (allowed by the flicker
fixer) x 478. This also will allow the command window to be moved out
of the drawing field. Note that you 1000 users will run out of screen
memory long before you get to 716. No fat agnus, no 1 meg of chip
memory.
If any of this interests you, send me a blank disk, I'll copy it
and send it to you. It's shareware and there is a story that goes with
that. You can reach me at:
