| A place called Microprocessors Unlimited, INC. (918)267-4961
has an ad claiming 80ns 1mb rams for 34.50 and 100ns 1mb rams
for 25.50.
This is not an endorsement....I have no experience with this company!

I'll endorse Microprocessors Unlimited. I've ordered stuff from them
and received prompt, courteous service. I heard them recommended many
times (SEARCH this conference for examples).
When you order memory chips from them, they assume you are a do-it-yourselfer
upgrading a memory board, and that you many not completely comfortable
in handling memory chips. They include with your order a few pages of
instructions on handling memory chips and "generic" instructions for
inserting them into a memory board.
Before the memory shortage, uP Unlimited had the best prices around.
Since the shortage, their prices have been good, but you may be able
to find someone a few dollars cheaper.

Do you think that uPro Unlimited ships as well overseas ?
If so, could you please give me their postal address ?
Thanks

| Heard through the grapevine... many companies have double- and triple-
ordered 1 Mb DRAMs during the shortage. Now that the floodgates
have opened, they are stuck buying the extra parts to avoid angering
their suppliers. (Good relations are helpful during the next
shortage.) So look for surplus megabit chips to be dumped within
the next few months for well under $20.
Now, this is just a rumor... real company names are impossible to
find out. But it's a fascinating rumor nonetheless.

I see an add in the back of my Radio Electronics magazine for a company
selling 1Mbit drams for $20.95 a chip. These are 100ns rams. They don't
list any other speed. They are Microprocessors Unlimited, inc their # is
(918)267-4961. I have no affiliation with them. I have been watching the
ram prices over the past couple of months, and they are droping.
