Something that came up on the SEDT note rang a bell with me - keyclick. Is there any utility that can provide me with a keyclick in a CLI or SHELL window ? Seems to be it could be a process running in the background like popcli but issuing a click before passing the keystroke on. I usually have keyclick set on all the time at work, particularly handy for repeat-key operations and mega-typing exercises where I tend to need some form of feedback that says "yes you did press that key hard enough" instead of having to look at the screen to ensure that it registered. Anyone? Alan T.

There is at least one such utility around. I tried it for a while, but it clicked all the keys including shift and ctrl. I found that I was looking up to see what was typed whenever I hit shift, so I stopped using it. Might still have a copy if you would like to try it though.

It also leaves a little window on the screen which is somewhat distracting.
