A C - B A S I C
I am considering buying this product - however It does not seem to be
in NZ and I cannot find a lot of information on it. I have a couple
of questions on the product However...
(1) I understand that AC-BASIC can compile basic programs into objects
which run quicker and use less disk-space/memory resources - is
this true?
(2) When a basic program is compiled into a module - is the BASIC menu
bar included - if so can it be switched off.
(3) how easy is it to call one object from another ie object A finishes
and loads object B without having to go back to CLI/AmigaDos screens?
(4) What other things does AC-BASIC do?
Any help appreciated...

I tested AC-BASIC a year ago...
(1) AC-BASIC was not developed as a compiler for Amiga-BASIC. I tried it
with many programs, but often AC-BASIC failed. When developing BASIC
progs you have to take care what AC-BASIC understands...
(2) No, the BASIC menu bar is not included. If you haven't defined any
menu bar AC-BASIC makes one with an exit option.
AC-BASIC is really fast - but in the meantime there are good alternatives
for BASIC programers...
Bernhard
P.S.: I was gamma-tester - maybe some features have changed in AC-BASIC.

Could you elaborate on what aspects of amiga-basic that ac-basic
did not like? eg: File handling/screens etc

Does this mean you can define a null menu bar?

Could you suggest a few alternatives
Thanks in advance Bernhard
