Hi - does anyone out there know how to set a certain area in an
amiga Basic window as no-echo?
Also...is there any way to compile Basic programs into objects in
Amiga Basic (with the standard software)??

Hi,
as for point 1, I don't think so but you might like to qualify what
sort of window and what sort of input request you are using, i.e.
standard BASIC INPUT or an executive call.
Point 2. No, you have to purchase a compiler - 3rd party to compile
AmigaBasic.

I found a way around the echo prob - just use COLOR statement to
make forground color same as background - then set it back again...
not a total solution - but a nice alternative...
re .1 thanks - can you reccommend a 3rd party product???

The only one that I know of is A/C Basic. Lists for $195 or so.
I've seen it as low as $120 Mail Order
