2106.1 | NICE deal | SMAUG::SPODARYK | Twenty, 20, 20-4 hours to go... | Wed Jan 11 1989 00:00 | 19 |
| Although I am not a veteran, I did a lot of pricing before
buying my 2000. I am also currently deciding on a hard drive setup.
Using new prices as a basis I would approximate:
A2000 $ 1500.00 (thats a pretty good deal)
1084s 250.00 (help me on this one, I have a Diamond Scan)
2090a 300.00 (another good deal)
80meg HD 900.00 (st296n, I assume)
extra floppy 140.00
50.00 (shipping for mail order items)
????? (aggravation factor, novice setting up HD)
total 3140.00 **WOW**
Assuming that the system is in good shape, JUMP on it! I wish I
could have found deals like this when I was buying!!!!
Steve - happy but jealous

| I agree. $1600 was the best price I found around here recently
for an A2000. $700 for a 80meg harddisk, controller, second floppy,
and monitor is a very good deal. Sounds almost too good to be true.

2106.3 | I BOUGHT IT | FARMER::ROY | | Thu Jan 12 1989 09:39 | 4 |
| Well I bought it, A2000, 1084S monitor, Micrscribe 80meg, 28ms hard
disk, 2 floppy dirves, 1090A controller, 1.3 ROM & disk, and he
threw in a couple of programs all for $2300. Such a deal. Now
if I can get a deal on extra memory etc. I'll be in business.

2106.4 | Where??? | REVEL::STOLLER | Where's the squeegy? | Thu Jan 12 1989 16:51 | 3 |
| Ok, I'll bite. Assuming that it is not HOT! Where did you get a deal like this and
are there any left? Of course, once you announce that there ARE some left here.
There won't be for long!!! ;')

2106.5 | RIGHT PLACE AT RIGHT TIME | FARMER::ROY | | Fri Jan 13 1989 07:35 | 7 |
| I got it out of the Want Advitiser - Jan 10-16 issue page 64, second
column, half way down. The 2000 and the drive is mentioned there,
he also had the monitor and threw in the programs I mentioned because
he had them on the hard disk. I have a bill of sale, it's not hot.
Just one of those things I was at the right place at the right time
(for once in my life).

| Umm....dumb question.
Was this a private transaction...or through an Amiga dealer?
