    Well, I've waited long enough. WB 1.3 is still not released here in the
    UK, nor is there any word from Commodore when it ever will be. Unless
    anyone can tell me why there is a delay (perhaps some new features in
    the version to be released here ?) I would like to try and get a copy
    from the US. 
    
    If anyone in the US is willing to help (by actually buying the thing on
    my behalf and posting it over here), please mail me, or if you think
    that it would be of interest to other UK/European Amigans please post
    here. Full remuneration would (naturally) be given.

    Also not available elsewhere in Europe as far as I know (I'm in
    Holland). It has been very frustrating reading these notes.
    
    BUT - I got the bi-monthly UKAUG newsletter yesterday, and on the
    back cover was an ad for the "1.2 Enhancer kit, 3 discs" with
    description that sounded like this was it. Price was 12.95 sterling, 
    nothing about delivery so I assume it is available now. The ad looked
    like a stop press though.
    
    Sorry I don't have the number on me. I'll phone tomorrow, then post
    details.

    All the Amiga mags in the UK are saying that it has finally been
    released, and a local shop said it had....but he couldn't get any!

Someone I know in Reading had an Amiga for Christmas purchased from Silica
Shop that came with 1.3. Maybe it's only the update kits that are not
available?

    Both the Amiga Center Scotland, and COMCAL in Glasgow have 1.3 in
    stock. I ordered mine yesterday.

    I have just sent off for the special offer AMIkit imported from
    the states as advertised in AUI Mag. According to the blurb it comes
    with Workbench 1.3 although it is the US version and requires the
    UK Keyboard drivers to be copied to it. 
    
    I'll let you know how I get on.

    WOW ! That's what I call service !!!
    
    I ordered (by mail) my 1.3 enhancer (just) catching the last postal
    collection on Monday evening. The package arrived this morning
    (Wednesday) !! I paid by cheque (card no. and expiry date on the
    reverse) so they haven't waited on it clearing before sending the
    goods out.
    
    So, a big RECOMMENDED for mail order shopping with;

    Well, I spent some time last night playing with 1.3, first impressions
    are;
    		It's memory hungry.
    		RESIDENT is brill.
    		FF isn't as good as CHFONT + BLITZFONTS
    		Good to see AVAIL in c:
    		SHELL seems handy but hungrier than conman

    Well, 1.3 is still not available in Holland. When I last spoke to
    a dealer he said they are not sure when or IF it will be released
    in Holland. Unbelievable isn't it.
    
    Anyway, a question. I read the review of Amikit in AUI. It had a
    mangled paragraph in the middle that left me with some confusion
    as to whether it includes everything that is in the standard upgrade
    (ie. Extras, kickstart)? Does it?
    
    Either way it is mail order from the UK again.
