Same exact problem here with v 2.0. No matter when in the
Startup-sequence I invoke Snipit, it locks the current CLI.
Scott Evernden is on PLINK. I'll inform him of the problem.

It's wierd... If I leave Snipit completely out of the startup-sequence,
I can install it from any CLI or Shell by just typing 'Snipit' or
'Run Snipit'. I get the message that Snipit has installed itself
and the prompt returns. It's only when I try to install it during
bootup that it locks the originating CLI.

| I copied snipit12.arc from NORSE:: but it only contains the sources.
Is the executable available anywhere on the net?
thanks,

| For SOURCE CODE to a freeware MC68000 C compiler, see MAY14::ATARI_ST
topic 340. I also have it running on the VAX. You'd need to change the
linker to write Amiga-compatible executables, or perhaps just write a
filter to convert them. You'd also need to modify the start-up code and
run-time library to do Amiga I/O and image startup stuff, instead of the
Atari stuff.

2040.7 | SnipIt V1.2 Bug | MTWAIN::MACDONALD | WA1OMM 7.093/145.05/223.58 AX.25 | Wed Jan 04 1989 13:58 | 8 |
| I talked to Scott Evernden, SnipIt V1.2 author. He works over at
Applix in Westborough. He is aware of the console closing bug and
will fix it soons and release the bug free version. The omission
only impacts those folks who wish to run SnipIt in their
startup-sequence file.
