1943.1 | SNAPSHOT | ADODEM::MCGHIE | looking for a door... | Sat Dec 03 1988 03:21 | 9 |
| Hi Ray,
use the snapshot option in the Workbench 'Special' menu. It's
documented in my 'Introducing the Amiga 500' manual. Basically select
the icons you want to save the positions of (use shift-select for
more than one at a time) and select the SNAPSHOT option.

In particular, to set the size and placement of a disk or drawer window,
open the disk or drawer icon, position and size its window, click again
on the icon to select it, and choose Snapshot from the Workbench menu.

| Then, to set the size and position of the window opened by selecting the disk
icon, first select the disk's icon and then, while it is selected, hit the
"snapshot" function.

At least it's documented in the A500/2000 manuals. When I got my
A1000 on 10/85, there was no mention of 'extended select'. It took
me about sixi months to find out how to do it.
