1850.0. "A500 go's 2meg internal!!!" by GLDOA::STOUGHTON (INSTALLS-R-US) Thu Nov 03 1988 07:47
In the latest Amiga World there is a review of a product called an
EXP_1000 found on page 110.
This is a one-megabyte internal adapter module for the A500 which
is used in conjunction to the a-501 and standard A500 memory.
To install the device you must remove the 68000 chip and the EXP-1000
plugs in there. then you plug the 68000 chip onto the EXP-1000 module.
The only negative in the article was that if the system is to be
move about, you would have to remove the option as the only
stabilization that it has is a rubber foot at one end and the short
thin pins in the 68000 slot at the other.
Other than that is sounds like a good deal.
It costs $300 unpolulated and $550 populated.
