| I've ordered 3" floppies from them twice before. No complaints
whatsoever; the disks seem to be good quality (no failures (yet!))
and their service has always been very prompt.
They also had good deals on plastic disk cases recently.

| I just ordered from them, they have the disks in stock now. (Something
that hasn't always been true in the past).

| I think that's the place I ordered my printer ribbons from. Very
prompt service, and good prices.

| Um, hate to rain on your parade but my last batch of 100 "no-name"
floppies from them has produced approx. 17 disks with read/write
errors and practically half of the write protects seem to be "glued"
in place requiring a knife to open them up. Also, most of the disks
don't seem to be glued together well at the seams and will open
up a bit if you don't handle them carefully. Could be I got a bad
batch but be careful!

| Around MIT, they don't have a particularly good reputation. The
"conventional wisdom" is that 3.5" disks made in this country typically
are of lower quality than those from Japan. MEI/Micro sells
American-made disks. They also will not tell you very much about
who manufactures the disks they sell.

1794.6 | No complaints here... | NEXUS::D_WHITE | Uncle Dave | Tue Oct 25 1988 03:11 | 13 |
| I just ordered some disks from them; they said that it would take
2 weeks for delivery, but it actually only took 1 week. I haven't
tried any of the disks yet, but at that price, whothehell? I also
got a but of ribbons for my Epson FX85 printer at around $2.00 apiece
in a lot of 6. I think that the last time I bought a ribbon (retail)
the prices ran anywhere from $4.98 to $13.98 (ridiculous!!!). As
a result, I used the ribbon until the output was nearly Braille.
I put one new ribbon on the printer and put the other 5 in a plastic
bag and put the whole thing in the freezer. At $2.00 apiece, I
can now afford to change my ribbons more often and not even bother
trying to get them re-inked.
