| I thnk the last version was 1.0, or 1.1...the version I have on
MVCAD3::user0:[amiga.arc]vt200*.arc is the 1.0 version...I went
back to vt100 r2.8 after that...
not sure on regis/sixel....
132..yes, with the right fonts...
downloadable fonts...NO WAY...forget the fancy prompts...
hidden...no, its all in the docs...but you might want to look at
wheat, and the other terminal emulators mentioned here in notes...

| Wait a minute... You can get 132 with the right fonts? Interesting.
I know that SET TERM/WIDTH=132 doesn't work. I tried that. How
do you load the 132 character fonts into Smokey. Can you do it
interactively... like while smokey's already running and you're
already logged in?

1713.3 | Higher resolution using interlace mode? | OPUS::BUSCH | | Fri Sep 23 1988 17:11 | 6 |
| With Smokey is there a way ofrunning in interlace mode WITHOUT having the
characters compressed to half height? I find the granularity of the fonts
hard on my eyes and I would like to increase the vertical resolution but
still keep the same height characters.

1713.4 | SETLACE will help... | LEDS::ACCIARDI | | Fri Sep 23 1988 17:21 | 8 |

Dave, next week, when you get your Starter disk, you'll find a program
called 'SETLACE' which throws the Amiga into line doubling mode.
By dithering the verticle hold on your monitor, you can offset the
two frames so that the dark scan lines (what you call granularity)
will dissappear.
