1681.0. "A2090 controller" by LEMAN::BLANC (Phil Lausanne-CH DSC 10-SEP-1988 17:20) Sat Sep 10 1988 12:25
Hi,
I am in the process to buy an A2000 with the A2090 hard disk
controller,if you can give me son infos.
Is it a hard way to go to connect a RD52 or RD31 or RD32 to this
controller ??(wich cables are needed,is it possible to take the
power from the Amiga for the drives, will it work, how to configure
the controller, how should the mountlist look like, etc...???)
Hey A lot of questions in fact....If some have been answered
before, please point me to the note..
Thanks for all
Phil
PS: Is this controller available and hard to get in europe or not
??

| Piece of cake to connect an RD31 or RD32. The RD52 won't fit in
the 2000 system box though.
Use the two ribbon cables supplied with the RD device. The power
connector is already inside the 2000 and fits the RD fine.
Enjoy!

| What's a good price for a 2090A (near Worcester/Boston or mail
order)? Software Shop price? Would there be any reason not to get
the 2090A now - like is there some missing feature that will be
implemented in a 2090B? Thanks.

| I paid $300 for mine, and in Canada, you should get it for a lot
less.
