1672.0. "Lattice assembler" by DECEAT::LANDINGHAM (No Dukes.) Thu Sep 08 1988 15:04

    Has anyone used the assembler that comes with Lattice C to any degree?
    I've read a couple of reviews of assemblers in recent issues of
    AmigaWorld and Amazing Computing; both seem to agree that the Lattice
    assembler isn't too bad at all. However, they're also both correct
    in stating that it is just about undocumented. Indeed, I could
    only find a hint of information about it in the Lattice C manual.

    I'm wondering if Lattice is offering any support on this assembler;
    perhaps a short manual available for downloading on their BBS?

Re: .0

The old Lattice C V3.10 manuals had a little documentation on the assembler
which disappeared completely from the V4.0 manuals.

The Lattice V4.0 assembler is supposed to be compatible with the Metacomco
assembler (it does seem to read the Metacomco header files). I seem to
remember Lattice claiming that they didn't need to document the assembler
because you could use the Metacomco documentation published in the
"AmigaDOS Manual" (the manual that describes all the CLI command,
AmigaDOS system calls, and data structures used by AmigaDOS).
1672.2Doc. on Metacomco assembler conventions?HYDRA::BOAENWed Sep 19 1990 21:588
	Is there any documentation on Metacomco assembler conventions?
I'm using the SAS/C v5.05 assembler (which has minimal doc. in the Lattice
manual set), and have figured some stuff out from the include files, enough
to do simple stuff, but a manual would really help. Would it be worth
getting the documentation from one of the assemblers from a fish disk?

	If this is buried somewhere else in the conf. pls supply a pointer.
Thanx, Verell

ditto. I'd like this info as well!

I figured out some from looking at other Lattice asm source code...
