I am going to open a new chapter in an old topic. Refering to note 1339.1 I have instructed my local computer store to order me the TTL HI-res Monitor Adaptor for 74.95. When it arrives I will have them test it in thier AMIGA 2000 (Just like mine) with all the TTL monchrome monitors that they have. It should arrive by September 13th and I should be testing it that night or the following weekend. I will post the results on this note. If anyone else has this hardware then feel free to post the info here. I am so tired of trying to use the 640x200 color display for characters that I am willing to be the first to try this. Wish me luck. Thank you for your support Harry Arendt

Well I won't be buying this after all. The computer store which ordered it for me was told that they had shipped the first batch and were not ready to ship the second batch yet. Meanwhile back at the Ranch, I talked to a local users group member who told me it was not a flicker fixer after all and that the TTL output would just be going to a long persistance monichrome monitor. He told me I could get the same effect by buying a Magnavox Monitor 80 in Amber and driving it off the monochrome composite output on my 2000. So I called the computer store, canceled my order and ran down to Lechemeres and bought the monitor and "viola" it works just fine. There is a minor amount of flicker on long straight line but you need to look for it to find it. |
