What is the limit to the number of instruments that you can keep
in one directory for DMCS?
My problem is that when I added another instrument to the driectory
(to bring it up to 60 {sixty}), whenever I try and do a load instrument
I get garbage for a file listing in its requestor, and it guru's
out when you try to do a load or a cancel. Loaded songs do get
all their instruments properly, the problem only occurs during
a 'Load Instrument' request.
Am I going to have to make several instrument directories with the
most common ones duplicated so I can load songs easily?

your right...there is a limit...I haven't run into it on instruments,
but I did on songs (Hard drive)...so I split them into 4 or 5
subdirectories. the symptoms were the same....garbage, then guru..
so...I guess splitting it is the only answer ....

I got some animal sounds from fred fish public domain software.
I made some good voices with Synthia ($70). I bought some mediocre
ones from ECT Sampleware for $25.
