1583.1 | | CSC32::J_PARSONS | I'm growing older but not up | Tue Aug 09 1988 08:41 | 2 |
| I already have ProtoComm, but would love to have SZ.EXE and RZ.EXE.
Please make these available.

1583.2 | VMS Zmodem progs location | VTHRAX::KIP | No Dukes. | Tue Aug 09 1988 09:26 | 10 |
| Ok. I put the C source, executables, and Unix manual pages in the
following saveset:
VTHRAX::AMIGA$PUBLIC:VMSZMODEM.BCK
If you happen to get recovery mode to work with SZ.EXE and ProtoComm,
or if you get RZ.EXE to work with it, would you please post your
methods?
Thanks.

Thanks,

1583.4 | ProtoComm uploaded | VTHRAX::KIP | No Dukes. | Tue Aug 16 1988 10:26 | 10 |
| ProtoComm is here:
VTHRAX::AMIGA$PUBLIC:PCOMM.ARC
This arc file as downloaded from PLink contains the executable file
only. For docs, use the doc file for Comm_1.34; I believe this
is somewhere on the Enet. It seems as though the macro key and
phone directory/autodial functions have been left out of ProtoComm.
It functions as a bare bones ZMODEM file transfer program (doesn't
emulate a VT100.

1583.5 | Zmodem V2.12 and ARC | PNO::SANDERSB | a belagana | Tue Sep 13 1988 14:02 | 32 |

The latest version of VMS/Unix Zmodem is available at:
Pno::64k_Device:[64k.sandersb.st]
It is contained in the arc file RZSZ.ARC. This file contains the
sources, written in C, along with other sources including a
generic Zmodem program and a header file - zmodem.h. While these
are VMS/Unix specific, they can be used to create machine
specific zmodem software.
The instructions to create executables are contained in sz.c and
rz.c. See note 216 in the AtariST notefiles for a discussion of
X/Y/Zmodem.
You will also find a VMS version of ARC (5.12 I think, copyright
states only 1985 and 1986) - ARC.EXE
These files will be available a short time (like a couple of
weeks) due to disk quota restrictions. If you do need to acces
them and they are no longer there, contact me via mail and I will
make them availabe again.
Please limit you file access' to before 11:00 AM EDT, between
3:00 PM and 4:00 PM EDT and after 7:00 PM EDT. (We are on
Mountain Standard Time as we don't observe daylight savings time,
thus it puts us in the Pacfic Daylight Time zone or 3 hours later
than Maynard.)

1583.6 | Where can I find ZMODEM today ? | KLO::ALVAREZ | Miguel, from beautiful Clonmel | Tue Feb 28 1989 12:07 | 14 |

I tried the above address, but couldn't find it. Do anybody
else has it ? I just want the executables and the documentation.
Thanks.

1583.7 | SZ has died, out of ideas | HPSRAD::BOAEN | | Tue Apr 30 1991 23:45 | 44 |
| I'm confused. I last used Zmodem 3-4 months ago (both RZ and SZ).
Now it doesn't work. HPSRAD has moved up a VMS Rev. in between, so I
figured it was the old run time library incompatibility. However,
I've copied SZ that has the RTL linked in and still no luck. I'm using
VT100 V2.9A which hasn't changed in the interim. also RZ STILL WORKS.
The symptoms are: amiga Zmodem exits very quickly once file transfer starts
(too quickly for me to read whatever message is being displayed). Also
an empty file with the right name is displayed in the directory I'm trying
to load into. I tried using the version of SZ with the 'vms flow control
fix' - same results also. Hints would be appreciated.
The following is my terminal setup in case something there might be
the problem:
$ show term
Terminal: _VTA100: Device_Type: VT100 Owner: Verell
Physical terminal: _LTA5098: Username: BOAEN
LAT Server/Port: LAT411/IN_3_411
Input: 2400 LFfill: 0 Width: 80 Parity: None
Output: 2400 CRfill: 0 Page: 48
Terminal Characteristics:
Interactive Echo Type_ahead No Escape

Broadcast No Readsync No Form Fulldup
No Modem No Local_echo No Autobaud Hangup

No SIXEL Graphics No Soft Characters No Printer Port Numeric Keypad
ANSI_CRT No Regis No Block_mode Advanced_video

I'm dialing-in on an FEX line to an LAT in MRO. the only thing I
note is that show terminal displays me as being at 2400 baud and I'm
dialing in at 1200 baud.
