    A non-technical Amiga friend of mine called up the other night,
    and in a panicky voice, asked if I could help him recover a trashed
    diskette.  Over the phone I talked him through a CLI session with
    diskdoctor.  (He really doesn't know much about CLI, he's been getting
    by with Workbench.)  Anyway, after we managed to recover all of
    his files, I thought again about how fragile the disk can be.  I've
    been told how valuable DISKSALV is but I don't seem to have it
    anywhere.  Does anyone on the E-net have a copy of this tool.  It
    lives (at least in an early form) on Fred Fish #20.  I have no access
    to any PD libraries, so I'd appreciate it if someone could make
    it available (however briefly) on the E-net.

	DiskSalv 1.2 is now up at MDKCSW::DUA2:[DAVIS.AMIGA]DISKSALV12.ARC. It looks like it is a great improvement over version 1.0. Not only that, but it sup- ports the new FFS. Get it while its hot! (figuratively speaking, that is :-)) ...richard

	Just read on the Usenet in a note from Dave Haynie himself, that 1.2 has some bugs in it that might cause problems. He has suggested that everyone wait for 1.21 which he'll release RSN. Sounds like it'll be great. Gary
