Couldn't find a note on this game, so I'll start one here. I have
just purchased a copy of Firebird's new graphics adventure game,
THE GOLDEN PATH. It's really quite good....but I'm stuck (like so
many adventure games before this...why I bother I dont know - must
be addicted...?)
Anyway.....THE GOLDEN PATH is set in China's mystical past. The
object of the game is to find one red and one yellow stick of incense
and place them at the feet of the sacred shrine (wherever that is??)
there are aproximately 40 places to visit, 50 items to collect and
about 30 charcters to interact with. In comparison to games like
ZORK and THE BARDS TALE this sucker is just a baby....but in its
own way - quite unique!! THE GOLDEN PATH is a sort of animated
graphics/text game. You move your character all over the place using
the mouse and can get written descriptions on each scenario by
selecting the appropriate window. some quite neat situations include
avoiding water spirits and demons, beating up outlaws, talking to
wise men and generally punching/kicking/thinking/throwing/dropping
and falling down the golden path of enlightenment.
I would be interested to hear from anyone who has played this game

I've seen it. Thought it looked interesting, but there are just
too darn many interesting things out there these days.
