1420.1 | I like Dmouse. | STARCH::WHERRY | Software Commandoes Ltd. | Fri May 13 1988 18:14 | 11 |

I have been using Dmouse for about 3 days now. I like it a
whole bunch!! The automatic mouse blanker is very nice and convenient.
Esp. when playing asteriods or other PD games which don't kill the
mouse pointer. Also the small size is a big plus. Also, the source
code was provided in the shar file as well (at least in mine).
Re. Mach II removal capability. I belive in the control gadget
there is a feature to 'de-install' or remove Mach.

| MACH2.1 has a selectable 1 or 2 clicks to front that eliminates
the problem you mentioned.

1420.4 | Get on the right path | KYOA::WEGER | Bruce Weger | Sun May 22 1988 20:53 | 13 |
| DMouse is great. However, when you "pop" (LA-esc) a new CLI it completely
forgets about any path you might have set up. I was bummed and went
back to POPCLI. Then I happened onto this ditty on USENET.
It seems to work.
Just change the command from "newcli" to "newcli FROM s:setpath", where
s:setpath is just a batch file containing the path command. Example:
path sys:utilities sys:system ram:c add
-bw

1420.5 | Need help with paths and Dmouse | STAR::ROBINSON | | Fri Sep 30 1988 13:42 | 22 |
| I added Dmouse to my workbench and like the fast mouse, screen blanker
etc., but can't get the popcli feature to use the paths I have set up.
.4 suggests the following, (which i tried):
>> Just change the command from "newcli" to "newcli FROM s:setpath", where
>> s:setpath is just a batch file containing the path command. Example:
>>path sys:utilities sys:system ram:c add
I can't get it to work. Can anybody elaborate or explain a gotcha
(restiction etc.) about the path command, batch files or
Dmouse version 1.06 that I might be missing? If you absolutely
need it, later I can copy my startup sequence or the exact s:setpath
I would like to use. Sometimes you folks can read minds though
8-}.
I have an Amiga 500 1k running VD0, conman & faccII. I noticed
on usenet, some people are using Dmouse 1.09. If I need that
version does anyone have it?
Thanks,
Dave

1420.6 | try to run script from cli to de-bug it | MVCAD3::BAEDER | D. Scott DTN 237-2961 SHR1-3/E19 | Fri Sep 30 1988 19:25 | 28 |
| First off, there are newer versions of dmouse...but thats not the
problem...look on the TAPE:: archives...
I run the dillon/drew shell, so I have to to this kind of thing...
try to execute the s:setpath file under a running cli...
i.e after "poping" an new cli, can you just type
1> execute s:setpath
without errors?? if not, thats your problem...
also, make sure your specifying the parameter correctly to dmouse...
from the docs...
> 1> DMouse -C newcli "<nil: >nil: con:320/120/320/80/Shell c:shell.exe"
>
> -C CMD Set Command to run. Default is NEWCLI. Remaining arguments
> on command line is the command.
>
that example runs the shell...note that ALL text after the -C will
be the command..ie it needs to be the last parameter!
so you'd need...
1> dmouse (other params...) -C newcli from s:setpath
hope this helps...
