Has anybody out there had experience using the Amigen genlock device? I'm looking to use a genlock device with an Amiga for home brew video productions (i.e. low cost). The advertisement for the unit states it has broadcast quality output. What type of software packages would work best with this...for credits and adding special effects (i.e. phasor beams and stuff), would packages like Deluxevideo and Deluxpaint be compatible? Any experience or help doing video work like this would be appreciated.

The latest issue of Info does a review of several GenLocks. The CBM GenLock is definitely NOT broadcast quality. Info rates it very low. Probably the best one in terms of hardware, software, price, and support will be the NewTek "Video Toaster" due out RSN. See the latest Info for a brief review of it. Paul |
