-< AMIGA - IBM >- A friend of mine has AMIGA 500 (no extra floppy drives of any kind). And he will have the following configaration after some weeks: IBM AT/E floppy drive 5.25" (IBM) 1.2MB floppy drive 5.25" (TEAC) 0.72MB DOS 3.3 WINDOWS 2.0 Now he is wondering how to transfer data(files) between these systems. There will be some hundred metres between those. AMIGA at home and AT in the shop. Maybe KERMIT,conversion programs to floppies, else? Regards, Pekka

the cheapest option might be to get a 720K 3.5" disk drive for his AT, and DOS-2-DOS for the Amiga. DOS-2-DOS advertisements are in the back of most amiga magazines, it lets you read/write/format ibmpc and atari ST disks. That way he can use the A500's internal disk drive to access disks from his AT. Use the A500's RAM: disk to store the files. -dave | |||||
