Is there anyone having experience with scanning devices on the AMIGA. I am referring to hand held scanners that allow to "read" and store portions of drawnings, logos, etc... 1. Who are the vendors 2. What does it typically cost 3. How is it connected 4. What software is driving it. 5. Can you then later mix the images with other files (DPAINT for example) All inputs appreciated. Thanks and regards

Resurecting an old note. The previous note was never answered, but I have the same questions: I saw two hand scanners available in the magazines, the Master 3A and the Migraph. They both come with the same software (from Migraph) but the Master 3A is about $100 cheaper, is the Migraph that much better? Where are these devices connected? (parallel port?) Jean PS If any one knows HOW these things work, please post it as a reply because I am curious as to their inner workings. |
