I just purchased a NEC P2200 24 pin printer. I am wondering if anyone has seen, in net land, any of the following printer drivers. If so, could they be uploaded to VMS so I can get a hold of one. 1) NEC P2200 2) NEC P9XL 3) NEC P5XL 4) NEC P7/P6 5) EPSON LQ-2500 6) EPSON LQ-800/1000 7) EPSON LQ-1500 8) EPSON FX 9) EPSON MX my owner's manual suggests using #1 and if unable, use #2 and if unable use #3 etc. I am presently using the "EPSON" printer driver. Also, if I'm not asking for too much, I would like the driver to be compatible with the printer drivers in rev. 1.3 of workbench. I understand some changes have been made and there is sufficient difference between the drivers implemented in 1.2 and 1.3 to make them incompatable. Thank You Roger

Under 1.3 there will be a printer driver called EpsonQ. I am using it on my NEC P6, and it gives fine results. John Sauter | |||||

Re: .4 I'll bet very small sums that you don't have an official 1.3 release. In the past Commodore has granted software distributors the right to ship gamma test versions of AmigaDOS when their products would be adversely affected by the wait for the real release. For instance, I got a 1.2 pre-release with a copy of Zing! about three months before the real release of 1.2. Still, do you want to share your first hand information of 1.3. You might want to start a new note on the topic. |
