    Somewhere in the missing recent few days of Usenet news was a
    description of Commodore's new Amiga models, the 2500 and the 3000,
    announced at the Cebit Fair in Hannover, Germany.  From the replies to
    the original (missing) message, it appears that the 2500 is a 2000 with
    68020 and hard disk standard, possibly with some flavor of UNIX and 
    X Windows available, while the 3000 is a fancier machine still being
    designed. 
    
    But the original message never made it due to problems at ROLL::,
    the Usenet distribution node.
    
    Does anybody have the whole story?

	Yes, I have a hard copy of that announcement. A friend of mine with USENET access through BITNET scooped it up. It was posted by Marco Papa of Felsina software. I dont know if any of it is true, but it sure is fun speculation! 	Well, that just about confirms my need to upgrade to an A2000. No non-interlaced Denise for the A1000... oh well, I just would have spent the money on food and shelter anyway. Ed.

	re: .1 What do mean when you say: "transputer project2"? Does that mean it comes with the offical INMOS tansputer? If so, is it a T414, ot T800? How much memory comes with the transputer? Is there a capability for more Transputers, on this board? On other cards? Thanks, Gregg

	Robb, Well, they could be talking about plugging a PC transputer card (which already exists) into a backplane slot. Gregg

	I suspect it is a real product, just not Commodore's product. "A2286 80286 based Amiga bridgeboard transputer project" From the wording of that... "project" sounds like the effort to get things like 80386 accellerator boards and yes, even transputer boards, from the ibmpc world to work with CBM's 80286 bridgeboard. Note there is no mention of a native amiga transputer board. -dave
