1250.0. "DECUS and Amiga stuff?" by POBOX::ANDREWS (How come nobody told *ME*?) Wed Mar 16 1988 04:41
Does anybody know anything more about this? I can't believe that
we've missed something this big, and right there in most of you
guy's backyard. (I have an excuse, I'm in Chicago and don't know
about most of this stuff ;-))

Subject: Amiga PD collections
The DECUS library has 3 tapes full of Amiga PD tools. If you have
access to a VAX (they're in VMS Backup format), you can order
them & obtain instantly a rather huge library of PD goodies of
all sorts. Decus lib can be reached at 617 480 3418 (voice)
or via USnail at DECUS Program Library, BP02, 249 Northboro
Rd., Marlboro, Mass 01752 usa. Nonmembers can order stuff, but
joining DECUS is free and their pd library has several gigabytes
of code. Copying charges are in line with what universities
charge (they have people who do pd copying fulltime, their own
machines, etc.), order of magnitude $150/reel for full 2400' reels
of tape - 30 or so megs at a crack. The Amiga stuff is almost all
archives and the tapes are full.

1250.1 | No big deal there...or am I missing something? | MVCAD3::BAEDER | D. Scott DTN 237-2961 SHR1-3/E19 | Wed Mar 16 1988 17:20 | 14 |
| I'm not sure what you mean, but yes, there was some stuff in a decus
submission. I looked through it, and most (if not all) was already
on e-net somewhere...ie nothing new or exciting...
scott.
an aside...DECUS material can be a great place to find tools, etc...
Why is it so hard to find On-line...someone finally put a copy
of the cd-rom tops (i think?) made available at recent decus mtgs
(see the tools notes file- forgot the exact name)...on line, but
limited access (i guess thats better than none ;-)
