| You need a file called SHOWANIM. Place that into the same directory
as BESERK and type:
SHOWANIM BESERK
You can fetch SHOWANIM.ARC from PAULY"AMIGA"::SHOWANIM.ARC

| SHOWANIM accepts a few arguments; -c will play a continuous loop.
+n selects the frame rate, where n=1/60 of a second. For example;
SHOWANIM -c +2 Berserk.anim will play a continuous loop at 30 frames
per second.

| Berserk runs fine on my 2000, except that I get the message
**** Animation Truncated **** and a few frames seem to be
missing (where the ball is over to the left side). This is
after clearing out all my RAM except for Showanim (I run
Berserk from DF0:). Do I need to do some reconfiguring,
or is this really a memory eater?
BTW it's nifty that this should truncate, rather than abort
outright. 90% of an animation is better than none...

| It's a real memory eater. The whole cycle runs on a 768K A1000,
but not on a 512K machine. Funny you should not see the whole thing
on an A2000. Isn't 1 meg RAM standard?

Thanks Guys,
I got the ShowANIM utility and it works - the Red Baron Demo is pretty
cute. Don't know if getting hold of the Berserk demo was woth it at
present, with my unexpanded A500 I get about five frames ot the
animation. This is without workbench, extra disk buffers, background
tasks etc. Guess I'll just have to save up for more store - sigh !
Thanks,
Colin.
