1220.0. "Mathematical Word Processor" by TEACH::ART (Art Baker, DC Training Center (EKO)) Fri Mar 04 1988 15:36

Does anyone know of a set of mathematical/technical fonts
available (for free or for money) for the Amiga ? I'm
interested in working on some kind of "mathematical word
processor". What I'm looking for is the usual range of
	Greek letters, special symbols, etc.

Alternatively, does anyone know of such a program already
	written for the Amiga ?

	Thanks,
	 Art

I was looking in PLINK recently and found a set of fonts for exactly
what you describe. I didn't download it, but I think I could find
it again. Send me an E-Mail, if you're interested.

Re: .0

I think Golddisk sells a "Symbol" font that contains all the usual
mathematical symbols. It comes with LaserScript or you can buy it
in a Golddisk font collection separately.

This is a standard postscript printer font.

Would one of the LaserScript people care to comment?

If I am wrong about this, I do know that one exists somewhere. I read
a complaint from someone publishing a Greek newsletter he couldn't find
a Greek language font, and was having to make do by using a technical
symbol font that contained Greek letters!

These fonts would work with any Amiga word processor that used Amiga
fonts.

Gold Disk also sells the same font on in their FontSet1 collection.
They look identical to the LaserScript versions but sell for a lot
    less.

Of course, they don't give you postscript output though...
